On today’s show, we will ask the question why are people so protective of the American flag and not all American Lives.
Once again we look at insensitive statements coming from 45. Did he really suggest that Puerto Rico is under poor leadership? This after the island has been devastated by hurricane Maria. Without power for more than a week; Puerto Rican and American citizens stuck in the airport without food and water, men women and children. Is he really blaming Democrats for the mayor’s nasty attitude? Did he really conclude that Puerto Rico and US territory wants everything done for them?
Amidst controversy and subtle hints of dissatisfaction by some Justices regarding 45; the Supreme Court will begin its session on today with the following items on the agenda Religious Liberty- a Colorado baker refusing to bake a cake for a gay couple’s union will he be protected by his First Amendment rights? Union Fees- Whether public employees that choose not to join the union have to pay dues; it’s always been this way so why change now? Voter Redistricting-How much state legislatures use redistricting for their own political advantage—so what else is new. Privacy Rights-Testing the limits of police tracking a suspect from his cell phone’s digital footprint. The National Minimum Wage-Will the court agree with the $15 an hour argument or uphold the $7.25 an hour that is the minimum wage now which has not changed since 2009.
Finally, we will be discussing the controversial issue of veteran suicides. Statistics stated that at least 20 veterans commit suicide daily. Come tune in LET’S TALK.
