The Role Heart Plays In Shaping Man's Character! What separates winners from losers is the Heart! Why do you think God used David over Saul? Because, King David had a confirmed, cleansed heart! A Good Heart Is the Start of Good Character! To lose heart is to lose character, to gain heart is to gain character!
Character always represents the heart, and always, is never the other way around. As goes the heart, and so goes the character, and that is what King Solomon, the wisest man who ever lived, is trying to tell us in the Book of Proverbs and told his children, in Proverb 4:23 KJV.
Solomon seems like in a class setting, in the Book of Proverb 4:23 KJV, telling us "Keep your heart with all diligence, for out of it comes all the issues of life." The word "KEEP," at the beginning of that verse, I just quoted, means (Keep the Word of God in It, saturate your heart with the Word of God).
So, God is saying, if you don't care about your heart, I'm not going to keep taking care of your character! As goes the heart, so goes the character!
In V-6, Solomon makes an alarming statement" Forsake her not, and she shall preserve thee: love her, and she shall keep thee." This verse is not only referring to the heart but the whole man, in general!
