“Out with the Old and in with the New”  "Hebrews

The writer of Hebrews is unknown, but he has a lot to say. He is saying all the prophecies and the teaching concerning the Messiah to come can be summed up as this.  The Old Testament was a foreshadowing which is an indication of a future event or what to come, it gives us examples of God planned for our eternal salvation. God’s Master Plan for man’s salvation could not be accomplished by man or the work of the priest of the Old Testament. Even though God ordained the Priesthood of the Old Testament and since God allowed the priest of the Old Testament to do the work of atonement (which is reconciliation or reparation for a wrong), it was never enough because, it was only temporary and had to be repeated over and over again, and could never take away our death penalty. No matter how much they worked, they were still on death row. This lets us know that a Priest was and is necessary now to offer atonement.  The prophecies of the Old Testament have been fulfilled not destroyed. We now have a High Priest and His name is Jesus, who is setting on the right hand of God, not in the sanctuary made by man, but in the true tabernacle, which the Lord Himself erected, the original. The tabernacle of Moses was a copy of this original, and it was made by man. Hebrews 2:17 says:  Therefore he had to be made like his brothers in every respect, so that he might become a merciful and faithful high priest in the service of God, to make propitiation for the sins of the people.   This is another reason way Jesus had to become a man and yet remain fully God.
