On the Wednesday, December 21st 2011 broadcast at 11AM Pacfiic/2PM Eastern, my special guest is Jeffrey L. Cohen, Esq., who returns for an encore appearance. We'll consider the following question: 'Are ACO's 'SMART' (Sensible, Meaningful, Appropriate, Responses to Trouble) or 'STUPID' (Simplicity, Troubling, Unlimited flexibility, Patient accountability, Inexpensive, Direct and demonstrative)?
The latter was authored pre-release of the final rule on ACOs, so we'll see if counselor Jeff has retained his initial skepticism towards ACOs.
We'll also consider some of the news speific to ACOs including the recent announcement of the 32 Pioneer organizations who have been recognized by CMS.
